Betfair Data Request Charging Scheme

The Betfair Data Request Charging Scheme is effective from Monday 14th April 2008. The latest BDI v2.2 EA release now features a Data Request Counter which indicates the number of chargeable requests made in the last 1 second. In general BDI should use around 6-7 requests/second, although this will rise as more markets are added to the Monitored List. If this indicator goes above 20 then you may be charged on a per-request basis. Please email us if you have any further queries about this scheme.

Betfair API Reported Issues

03 Mar, 2008 - There is an ongoing issue with the Betfair API which results in markets flickering between ACTIVE and SUSPENDED a few times whenever the status of the market changes - Betfair are currently working on a solution.
